Reiki and Chakras
How does Reiki work?
To use a simple anecdote -
Imagine you have a glass of water that's been left out for weeks, the water will start to develop stagnation, debris and become cloudy. Now, if you place that glass underneath a running tap until the water begins to flow into and over the glass again and again, eventually the glass will contain fresh clean water...
This is similar to what happens in a reiki session - your energetic subtle bodies are being flushed again and again, purified of all low vibrational gunk, other peoples energies and influences until you contain new fresh life force energy
- chi - enabling balance between mind body and spirit

Hands-On Reiki
The practitioner places hands on or just off the body with the intent that Ki passes from them to the intended body part. The Ki is not pushed or forced from the hands, it is actually drawn through them by the receiving body. Once the body senses the Ki, it takes it where it needs and wants it. So, although the hands may be placed on what is considered an area of need there are more elements at play deciding on its direction and use.
The reason for placing the hands on or near the body is to allow Ki to clear stagnant energy, ultimately resulting in free flowing Ki.

Distance Reiki
Distance Reiki works by a practitioner using their intention and focus to send Reiki healing energy to a recipient who is not physically present, relying on the belief that all beings are interconnected through energy, allowing the healing energy to travel across space to reach the recipient, even when they are far away; essentially, the practitioner mentally connects with the client and directs healing energy towards them through visualization and intention.

Chakra Balancing
-
Chakra balancing is an energy healing practice that involves aligning the body's seven chakras. The chakras are thought to be energy centers that affect physical, emotional, and spiritual health.

-
After a chakra balancing session, you can expect to feel a sense of increased calmness, relaxation, improved energy levels, greater mental clarity, and a potential emotional release, as the process aims to align your energy centers and remove blockages, leading to a more balanced state of being; however, individual experiences can vary depending on the person and the techniques used.
